【英作文力アップ】仕事を休む理由説明５例

本日はお休みさせていただきます

本日8月18日は娘の習い事のコンクールが開催されます。早朝から丸一日、同伴する必要があるため一日お休みをさせていただくことにしました。その理由を説明するための英文を5つご紹介します。

1. My daughter is taking part in a ballet competition tomorrow.
   ※前日に話している状況を想定して。
   （明日、娘がバレエのコンクールに参加します。）
2. I have to be with her all day, doing her make-up and just running errands. 
   （メイクをしたり、お遣いをしたりで、一日娘と一緒にいなければなりません。）
3. I have to leave home at 6:30 in the morning and then head for Tokyo.
   （朝6時30分に家を出て東京に向かう必要がありまして。）
4. I am not sure what time I will be able to leave the venue.
   （何時に会場を出発できるか分からないんです。）
5. I probably won’t be home until eight at night.
   （おそらく夜8時まで家に到着できないと思います。）
